1. Complete both review sessions
After you finish the course, two review sessions unlock automatically: the National Review ("The One Day Review") and the State Review, labeled clearly as the State Review. Do both — You'll register for both sections with Pearson Vue when you file your paperwork here: Paperwork Checklist
2. Study the quiz logic (my #1 recommendation)
Beyond the review sessions, the best way to prepare is to go back through the logic behind every unit quiz in the quiz feedback — why the right answers are right and the wrong answers are wrong. That's the exact reasoning you'll need to apply to the real estate license exam, no matter how their questions are worded.
Watch this walkthrough on how to access the quiz feedback and print that logic: Quiz Logic Walkthrough.
3. Get the state-portion textbook (optional but recommended as this covers the FULL SECOND PORTION OF THE TEST)
I wrote a textbook covering the state portion of the exam in full detail — this isn't a required step (as we did go over a summary in Unit 8), but this is the most thorough resource available if you want to leave nothing out regarding the state portion of the West Virginia licensing exam. You can go through it however works best for you:
Read it in print or as an ebook (current students get the print version at our base price, we make zero profit, or as a FREE ebook — reach out to our staff for the discount link if you are a current student: spruce.school You likely already have that link as a sticker on the front of your Dearborn Real Estate Principles and Practice we mailed you.
Listen to it as an audiobook while you drive or work out (free for students — reach out to our staff for your access pass): spruceschool.link/audiobook
Here's a video of how our students access their free ebook version or discounted print version here Watch the Video HERE
4. File your paperwork
While you're studying you can also be doing the paperwork required to file to test. Watch this short video for the full breakdown of what to file and when: Paperwork Video Tutorial
This is an excellent guide for what to start studying 2 weeks before your test date with the testing center. https://sprucerealestateschool.com/blog/what-to-do-after-wv-real-estate-course/
